Quality Engineer - Commercial Airlines Modifications

Description and Skills Required:

Plans and directs activities concerned with development, application and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials and products by performing the following duties:
  • Performs professional Quality Engineering assignments of considerable complexity under direction with considerable discretion as to work details.
  • Designs, installs and continually evaluates complex quality assurance and/or control methods and systems.
  • Designs fixtures and processes to insure the continuing maintenance of product quality; may conduct vendor visits to insure quality; analyzes reports and returned products to determine quality trends and recommends corrective action.
  • May participate in materials review activities to determine material disposition.
  • Develops standards and procedures to provide quality guidance and methods
  • May assign work to inspectors and technicians.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and minimum 3 years related experience and/or training.
  • Familiarity with ISO-9001, AS9100, and FAA regulations is required
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.



Engineering Test Technician

Description and Skills Required:
The Engineering Test Technician will set up, test and report results on prototype, production, and qualification hardware.

Reviews project instructions, test documents, and engineering prints to determine test objectives, test equipment and test set-ups required to perform assigned tasks.

Reviews test requirements to determine computer compatibility and manipulates current software as required to support computer aided testing.

Assembles mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic test equipment.

Prepares sketches of test fixtures and circuit diagrams of instrumentation for drafting of official drawings and documentation illustrations.

Sets up and conducts tests and experiments on components and complete units to evaluate design characteristics and performance of test items.

Analyzes test results and makes suggestions for improvement.

Maintains test log and assists in writing test reports.

Has a thorough knowledge in the operation and theory of test software.

Maintains test equipment and engineering test area in an orderly manner.

Calibrates test equipment to laboratory standards.

Demonstrates good judgment in the safe operation and set-up of all test procedures.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 1-2 years test lab experience. Experience with Labview is desired.

Description and Skills Required

Client is a leading designer and manufacturer of specialty aircraft modifications and interior products located in Everett, Wa. They are searching for career-minded and long-term individuals to join design team on some exciting new programs: Design team utilizes Unigraphics or Catia 3-D software to develop design concepts and produce engineering drawings for numerous airlines and many diverse types of aircraft worldwide.

Skills that we highly desire are someone who can specify components parameters, select materials and design parts to be used for aircraft structural modifications, and prepare FAA documents and test plans.

The planning and design of mechanical equipment; and the oversight of the installation, operation and maintenance of the equipment. Performs standard engineering assignments usually representing a significant portion of a larger project. Selects engineering techniques to solve problems and make design recommendations. Participates as a team member in a specific phase of a broad engineering assignment. Directs preparation of appropriate documentation for assigned projects.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree and minimum ten years related experience and/or training.

If your experience includes knowledge of aerospace industry materials, parts, and processes; knowledge of FAA regulations; competency in operating 3-D software; and a bachelor's degree in engineering, and a minimum of five years of aircraft structural design or interior design experience, or equivalent experience.
